Hello Tokyo for the 3rd Year

Bangkok for Mummy’s Birthday

6 months back, we packed our bags and headed to Bangkok Thailand for a 4 days 3 nights trip to celebrate my mum’s birthday.     I arranged a shuttle from the airport to the hotel for convenience since there’s 4 of us. If it’s only me or just the 2 of us, I would have called for…….

Hello, I’m just gonna write a random post today.

My blog has hit the 200k mark & that’s what i’d like to say.

Woo-hoo I’m so happy so I’m just gonna go all the way.

Can’t compare to the rest, my blog is A-Okay.

I started my first blog from blogspot.com

From yummybloggingtheblog to my very own dotcom

Now, it’s “elenajake.com”, simple not like a romcom

blog is Ten years old now, bring out the pom-poms

since My hubby upgraded my blog to WordPress

it looks better, not tacky, definitely not a hot mess

Talking about my favourite stuff not trying to impress

Hey I’m still the same old me, blogging to destress

Life has been kind, life has been good

Mostly blogging about travel and food

though I only blog when I’m in the mood

Sometimes I feel like quitting but no, not yet, “touch wood”

I’ll end this post at the fifth stanza

thank you again my comeback readers, you’re my esperanza

i’m gonna celebrate this occasion over pizza

Stay tuned, i’ll be back with something lollapalooza

The Kwok Sisters are Back! (Part 1 – Wurzburg)

Took a trip. A work plus leisure trip. We were deciding whether to work then play or play then work but in the end, we agreed on play then work! So, that’s what we did! Since my sister is from the Land Down Under, we decided to meet at Changi Airport, Singapore. We took SQ,…….

Coffee Hunters: Posh Coffee Roastery

It was posh but not that posh. That’s what I said to hubs. Posh Coffee Roastery is located in Kepong. It’s easy to find if you keep your eyes open because we missed the turning and had to do a big merry-go-round. It’s actually in a shared building with Unio Residence Gallery so just map…….

Q&A on Parenting

Last year in May, I was approached for Q&A on parenting issues. Not sure if my answers were published or they went down the drain. Nevertheless, I kept a copy of it and thought I should share them here with you. These are my answers and solely mine to argue with. You may disagree with mine…….

My last 2 visits to Strawberry

Kijal, Kemaman is where my grandparents and an uncle (mommy’s brother) used to live. They’ve been living there for the past 20 years, going in and out to the city only if required. It’s a district in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia bordered by Dungun district slightly north of the state of Pahang. We’ve been visiting them for the…….

Coffee Hunters: Seraph Awaken @ Klang

We’re going for a drive!!!! During one of the weekends, hubs said let’s go to Klang and that’s what we did! I was sooo excited!!! We went looking for Seraph Awaken, a highly recommended cafe with their renowned hand brew coffee method. Though reviews said it’s a hipster-ish cafe, I don’t find it that hipster-ish but I do like…….

Showerthought: 2 Different Kind of Lives – Social vs PL

Upon finished reading ‘Ready Player One’, I just had to express this. I mean it’s always been at the back of my mind but the book inspired me and gave me more insights into what human life would be if we rely too much on digital technology in the future. Gone are the days where…….

Hello Tokyo for the 3rd Year

It’s our 3rd year in Tokyo! We love love this place, the people, the food, the culture, the confusing trains and thankfully I can say for 2017, the weather. Warm, but windy with light rain – it’s all I can ask for! ありがとうございます So, we are here for work again but we try to find…….
