On a bright sunny Sunday afternoon, a group of family went for 11 pax lunch buffet at the Lemon Garden Cafe in Shangri-La, KL. The occasion was to celebrate Dad’s 59th Birthday and Jake’s 27th Birthday.
This event starred….
Dad & Mom
Elaine
Edmund
Uncle Yan
Josephine
Joe
Judith
Javier
Jake
And lastly, ME!
There were food, there were yapping, there were play and mostly there was family affair! The kids even enjoyed ice-cream along with ‘Jumping Balloon’ , clown plus face art.
Then.. it’s family picture time.. Hub brought the kids to the maze garden…
…..while the KWOKS’ took numerous pictures to the delight of Uncle Yan.
After the scrumptious lunch and after it’s been paid by ‘big brain’, we all headed off in our own ways. One car went back to Bangsar, one car went back home and the other stopped at Pavilion then proceed home safely.
But… little Javier’s fun didn’t end just there. He insists that his modified yellow balloon is his ‘KuKu-Bird’!
Javier was unwell since yesterday. He had high fever due to sore gums and throat. My parents brought him to the doctor as I was working. But thankfully, he’s okay now. Gone is the fever but the mouth ache is still there. His appetite haven’t returned yet but it’s coming. He’s definitely jollier than yesterday.
This morning, I woke him up to go to the market with my mom. During his bath time, he said,
“Mommy, wait I go market, people see my face ‘bengkak’ then they laugh at me how?”
Aww.. ain’t that cute? I didn’t know little kids have such thoughts. In the end, he gave up his tantrums and followed me and my mom to the market and he craved for soya bean so I got him a cup. Home-boiled for sure.
*i gave the medication names because it’s FUN for Javier.. i allow him to choose which character he would like to nibble first and I always take a sip to show him it isn’t so bad after all. I actually also asked Judith to take a sip to convince him. LOL! Judith told me quietly,
“Mummy, it’s very YUCKY!”
This was Javier yesterday when I got back from work
This morning on the way to the market.. can you see his cheeks burning red.. check out the veins!
Later in the afternoon, when he had played Bejeweled and Search & Find Games on my laptop, his mood was better and he wasn’t so needy anymore.
Look! He’s smiling already and he can play his NDS.
At 2pm, it was medication time. We skipped the fever meds since his fever had subsided. Sleepiness took over.
Actually, sleepiness will take over me soon. I can feel the grogginess. The last time I had a nap on a weekday was…. the day before I started work. HMPH! Btw, I take naps every weekend. To Hubby’s annoyance, every time he turns his back and then back to me, he finds me sleeping on the couch, on the bed, on the car-seat and sometimes on the sofa at my in-laws.
Last week, my colleagues and I went for karaoke session at Neway, Cheras Plaza. We went there after work after changing into shorts and I actually did my makeup in the car. Surprisingly, makeup without mirror looks much better. LOL!
So, it was my 2nd trip to a karaoke joint. Sounds like a lie but it was really my 2nd. The first time I went was with Cecilia and Nancy when I went there to brush up on my, “The Moon Represents My Heart” for a performance on my in-laws’ 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2007.
Coincidentally, Miss San San’s birthday also falls in the month of January so why not kill two birds with one stone, right? Plus, birthday girl gets FOC buffet dinner, a cake plus, a bottle of sparkling juice.
So, here are some pictures taken by Elaine Choo and some are from my mobile. I would have taken more pictures but Judith and Tiffany were busy scrolling through pictures and videos to amuse themselves.

KAMPAI! Erm.. jasmine tea for me for starters HAHA

A preview of what would happen if you leave these 2 missus together
I cannot decide who is sexier.
Woops.. Ms Saw caught me not holding a microphone.. NOOOOO!
So… that’s ME and Anthony belting “What you got” by Colby O’ Donis feat. AKON..
YUP and I’m texting.. this shows that my brain does really work lefty and righty at the same time.
Then, I probably got too carried away singing Zombie with Ms San San
You know what I mean? Even Anthony thinks we’re silly!
But this is silly-er.. HAHA they sing, ‘sampai naik sofa’!
San San’s cute and early Birthday Cake
The POOF us…
The REAL us.. goofballs
The little girls munching the bday cake
Cheers to San San and cheers to all of us
Ms Saw’s daughter, Tiffany gushes as we debate who gets to sing next!
The music proves too much for the kids
Ms Poh removing Charmaine’s cardigan after she got encouraged by Alex To’s song titled, “TUO DIAO”
Please make sure you like men in short shorts before you watch this video. If you don’t, you might puke or something but you can watch the babes since the song says, ‘remove, remove’ as in remove your clothes.
And for the finale’ of the night, San San rendered Shun Zi’s, “Hui Jia”. Check out the live version of the original singer below.
Judith started Primary 1 this year whereas Joe is in Primary 3. I tagged along on the first day of school to give the kids a head-start. I was as excited and nervous as Judith was. Joe, was his normal self ‘buat tak tahu aje’.
Time : After 7am; before 7.15am
After the queue to class has ended, anxious parents like these and of course myself, stood outside the class to annoy the much annoyed class teacher.
Judith, happily found her desk by the window.
The kids sat for a moment to get themselves used to the surroundings while the parents ‘PAY-UP’
After the forms are filled, the fees paid, the teacher taught her students how to greet her in return and they learned the NegaraKu immediately. Lol! Then, the kids proudly introduced themselves.
Judith said,
“Nama saya Judith Ann Yong Qi. Saya 6 tahun. Kamu boleh panggil saya Judy.”
On the 2nd and 3rd day of school, it was Hubby’s turn to bring the kids to school. He’s there to make sure Judith knows where to sit during recess, where to go after recess and where to wait after school. The DOs’ and DON’Ts’ @ school.
With fellow classmates hanging out while waiting to go to class
With Trisha at the fish pond after school
With her famous brother Joe during recess
With her good friends, Glory on the left and Kamesya on the right.
These 3 Galsketeers are always found seated together during break.
That’s Joe at the back grinning cheekily.
So far, the kids are taking school well. So was Javier happily going to school on Wednesday without screaming and kicking. My kids are growing up so fast and it scares me because they aren’t my little babies anymore.
